Madelaine German is a musician, singer-songwriter and composer based out of Jackson Hole, WY.
Born in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia to a professional music teacher and church musician mother, Madelaine started making music as soon as she could reach the the piano. From a young age she studied piano alongside classical and choral voice, and during high school went on to attend the University of Richmond Governor's School for Visual and Performing Arts. After graduating from James Madison University with a BM in Music Industry, Madelaine headed west to L.A. to intern with film score composer Hans Zimmer at Remote Control Productions.
After her time spent in L.A., Maddy was unsure of whether music was to what she wanted to commit her life's work. To settle this question, she took some time away from playing to instead pursue new life experiences, ranging from a tenure working as a ranch horse wrangler in Colorado, to a few seasons ski patrolling in Utah and a summer waitressing on Nantucket Island. After five years spent away from music, Maddy found herself in Jackson Hole, WY --- and making music again.
Madelaine's life mantra is that "Music is the weapon," as Fela Kuti, Nigerian musician and human rights activist, once bravely stated. She has dedicated her life to cultivating her musical talent so that she may reach her fullest human potential and contribution to this world.
