No one can show you this wild place like Rainforest Expeditions (perunature.com). Their specular lodges, friendly staff, and talented guides will bring you face to face with the abundant life and deep beauty of the Peruvian Amazon in style. On top of the amazing travel experience they offer, Rainforest Expeditions is also working hard with scientists, conservationists, and local tribes to keep this unadulterated part of the world protected. It was an honor working on this film for them. Everyone should visit!

Director Amon Barker grew up exploring the mountains, valleys, and desserts of New Mexico and developed a passion for the outdoors. He was drawn to photography in order to share his experiences with the landscape. Along the way he met others with a similar connection to the environment even when living very different lives.
When we came up with the concept for the Human Nature short it was very simple. We wanted to create powerful images of the natural world that would remind viewers of their connection to the land and it's personal meaning to them. We hit the road on a series of production road trips and the story of the edit unfolded through our journey. None of us will forgot the moments along the way.

Moving Upstream from Carrie Richer on Vimeo.
Moving Upstream is a short film by Hole Dance Films in Jackson, WY. It follows one women on a journey through the Wyoming winter as she struggles with a backpack nearly as big as she. She fights the cold, the snow, loses her map and soon finds that the best option is often ditching your baggage and taking the path less traveled. Francesca Romo’s physical performance of this struggle is reminiscent of Chaplin and boasts an unexpected amount of grace and a witty sense of humor, the original score echoes the Chaplinesque theme. This is the eighth film Hole Dance Films has produced.

In 2012, in partnership with One Day on Earth: 12.12.12, the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival launched a tandem One Day in Jackson Hole project. Working with classrooms, nonprofits, special-interest clubs and a broad spectrum of interested individuals, we documented our Valley in an unprecedented 24-hour community effort with one purpose in mind: to share a unique story with the world. More than 75 filmmakers (and one dog) submitted material and more than 700 people were filmed that day.
